Sharon Sewell-Fairman

Sharon Sewell-Fairman has over 25 years of workforce and economic development experience at the local, state, and national levels. As the new President and CEO of Women Creating Change (WCC), Sewell-Fairman will position WCC at the forefront of civic engagement work in New York City. She is personally motivated to advance WCC’s mission and support initiatives to reduce social, racial, and economic disparities.

Sewell-Fairman joined Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI) in 2010 as the Director of Program Operations, assumed the role of Executive Officer in 2012, and Chief Executive Officer in 2021. Sewell-Fairman steered the organization through a decade of innovation and sustained growth. During her tenure, Sewell-Fairman has steadily grown the organization’s budget, staff size, and programmatic reach while successfully navigating significant operational headwinds. She facilitated meaningful cross-sector discussions about workforce issues and launched a Leadership Development program that connected innovators—primarily leaders of color. Sewell-Fairman’s work directly impacted low-and moderate-income individuals (over 10k unique workforce practitioners and 740 unique organizations) by ensuring access to economic opportunities. Among her legacy is recruiting a diverse and expanded Board of Directors representing extensive expertise and experience in the for-profit, nonprofit, and academic worlds.

Sewell-Fairman began her career at the New York Association of Training & Employment Professionals, a member organization based in Albany, NY. She has held senior positions at the New York City Employment & Training Coalition, Wadley-Donovan Growth Tech LLC, and National Association of Workforce Boards in Washington, DC, where she worked with the nation’s 600+ workforce boards including 15,000 business leaders and Congressional staff on workforce policies and advocacy priorities.

Sewell-Fairman holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from State University at Albany, an MBA in International Business from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a Certificate in International Business Studies from the University of Antwerp in Belgium, and a Certificate of Business Excellence, Senior Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals from Columbia University. She currently serves on the Human Services Council’s Priority and Strategy Council and the Workforce Development Council for the Thomas and Jeanne Elmezzi Private Foundation. Ms. Sewell-Fairman previously served on the Boards of Day One New York and New York Association of Training & Employment Professionals (NYATEP).

King Mukherjee

President of Global Impex USA Associate Professor at College of Saint Benedict/ St. John’s University Advisory Board Member of Emerging Technology Division of ATA (Advanced Textiles Association/ IFAI)Supply Chain Professor Mr. King Mukherjee is an Associate Professor in the Global Business Leadership department at College of Saint Benedict/ St. John’s University, MN, USA.
He has 23 years of business experience under his belt, with a global impact including 40 countries across 5 continents. Early in his global career, he co-founded leading textile company of USA. Then, in a cafe in July 2017, he co-founded three MN-based companies: Global Impex USA, Guide Apparel Co, Gameday Merch and Stryv Medical. Within five years, he helped the company grow from one intern to a business spanning 50 states.​

Nasibu Sareva

Joining ADC in 2006, Nasibu has held positions from Business Lender to Chief Financial Officer. As a long-time member of the ADC management team, he displayed substantial insight and direction regarding the operations of ADC. He takes a vision and makes it reality through sound strategy development. He intuitively continues the threads of opportunity that wind through an organization, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking and drives material business advantage. As the Chief Executive Officer, Nasibu is responsible for the strategic, tactical and operational management of the organization. Charged with leading, developing and sustaining the programs that serve African immigrants and refugees in the state.

Previously, Nasibu worked for Volunteers of America, Cathedral Rock of Jefferson City, Missouri, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, and Soft-Tech Consulting Ltd in Tanzania. He has been awarded a certificate of completion for the NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence Program, August 2016 – January 2018, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Executive Education. He holds a BA in Accounting from the IIU in Malaysia and an MBA in accounting from Lincoln University in Missouri. The National Development Council certified him in 2008 as an Economic Development Finance Professional.

He was appointed by Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton to the Council for Minnesotans of African Heritage, June 2014 – June 2016. He currently serves on several Boards of Directors including Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD), Project for Pride in Living (PPL),  Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC)Community Reinvestment Fund (CRF’s) CDFI Advisory Board for the Minnesota Target Market and SPEDCO‘s Advisory Committe Member.

He also served on the following boards Way to GrowDiaspora Council of Tanzanians in America (DICOTA) Jan 2016 – Dec 2018, etc.
